报告人简介 Prof. Dr. Bryan Karney Bryan Karney is a professor of Civil Engineering and the Associate Dean of Cross Disciplinary Programs at the University of Toronto. Bryan received his B.A.Sc. in Bio-Resource Engineering, M.Eng. and Ph.D in Civil Engineering from University of British Columbia. His research interests reside in the design, analysis, operation and optimization of various water resource and energy systems. He specializes in the design and analysis of water distribution systems, with interests in infrastructure renewal, transient and water hammer analysis and system optimization. He has written or co-written over 380 journal papers and articles, including being a co-author of the book “Comprehensive Water Distribution Systems Analysis Handbooks for Engineers and Planners”. Outside of the Faculty and University, Bryan is a principal of consulting firm FP & P HydraTek (http://hydratek.com/). He served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Hydraulic Engineering (American Society of Civil Engineers), from 1991 to 2005, and is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Hydraulic Research (International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research).
